SELF-DEFENSE: MOVING BEYOND THE BASICS

Self-Defense Course for Adults (17+)

This 2-hour adult workshop reviews basic strikes to neutralize an attacker, both from standing and from the ground, and explores how to use improvised weapons effectively. Improvised weapons are anything you carry on your person, or have in your home that can be used to neutralize an attacker. Think belt, pen, water bottle, book, etc...This workshop is open to participants who have taken one of the 3 self-defense workshops offered by the Y within the past year, and to those who are attending their first workshop. Please wear athletic clothing, remove jewelry and bring water.

Cheryl has been studying and teaching the fighting arts for over 30 years. She has attained the rank of Black Belt in Karate, Aikido and Krav Maga.
