For safety reasons, pool parties are reserved for children 5+. If your child is under 5, there must be an adult 18+ in the pool with them for the duration of the party. You may arrive 10 minutes before scheduled time.

Bounce House Obstacle Course Party is for children ages 3+

1. How do I register? Register online to book your child's party. A 50% deposit is due at the time of registration. 
2. When can I set up? 30-minutes prior to the birthday party
3. Are there any local restaurants you recommend that can deliver food for the party? Yes! We recommend Paisano's Pizza in Randolph 973 396 8778. (For special price, mention West Morris Area YMCA when ordering for your child's birthday party). Any outside food is welcome. Alcohol is not permitted.
4. How old does my child have to be to book a pool party? For safety reasons, pool parties are reserved for children 5+. If your child is under 5, there must be an adult 18+ in the pool with them for the duration of the party.
5. How old does my child have to be to book a Bounce House Obstacle Course party? Bounce House Parties start at ages 3+. Please have all birthday party participants bring a pair of grip socks. 
6. What if I want to invite more than 20 children? You can pay for any additional children up to 25 people total (children & adults) for $15/child. We do not charge for adults getting in the pool with child under 5 years old. If you have additional children attending, an extra fee will be charged a week before the party when we confirm the headcount. Please note that, per our policy, this fee is non-refundable if any children do not show up.
7. If I book a pool party, which pool will it be held in? All pool parties are held in our Warm Water Pool. It will be exclusively booked for your event. If we need to close the Warm Water Pool unexpectedly, the Main Pool will be available for your child's party but ONLY on Saturdays. 
8. What if it is thunder and lightning, will my pool party be held? The entire aquatic center closes for 30-minutes after each thunder/lightning. If the pool remains closed during your child's party, all efforts will be made to move your child's party to the gymnasium or community room.
9. Can I bring my child's own floatation device or toys to the pool? No. All pool toys and floatation devices will be be provided by the YMCA.
10. Will my child and guests be swim tested before the party? YES! Safety is our number one priority. All children will be swim tested. 15-minutes has already been reserved during your allotted pool time for swim testing. Please keep in mind that the swim test will be available 15 minutes after their start time. If a guest arrives late, there will be NO SWIM TEST and the guest will have to wear a life jacket regardless of swimming ability or age.
11. What is the swim test and what are the levels? We have a mandatory swim test for our youth before they enter the pool. Please note the following: Any child under 14 who is new to our facility and programs must take a swim test regardless of prior swim experience. Children will be issued a Red, Purple, or Green Band after completing our swim test protocol.​​ Red Band MUST wear a lifejacket and stay in the shallow end of the Pool the entire time. Purple Band MUST stay in the shallow end of the pool but do not require a lifejacket. Green Band can swim in the deep and shallow ends of the pool.​
12. Can I bring a speaker for music? We have a bluetooth speaker available in the community room. You do not need to bring your own.
13. Do you have a fridge? Yes! We have a fridge and a freezer available for you to use.
14. Does the Y provide towels for a pool party? No. Please provide your own towels.
15. Do you have any add-ons? Yes! You can add fresh popcorn from our popcorn machine for $20.
16. Can I add on extra time? Yes, but pool time cannot be extended. Extra time is the Gymnasium or Community Room available for $50 for 30-minutes or $100 for 1-hour.
